Energy Storage

With experience in the installation of several turnkey Battery Storage projects in the UK up to 49.9MW Morrison Energy Services has the technical know-how to assess and fully develop, design and install your battery storage project with optimized technology systems to suit the demand and generation side requirements as an independent specialist sourcing from a variety of equipment suppliers.

Previous clients have included blue chip organisations as stand-alone projects or renewable energy “complementary schemes” such as wind farms or solar PV. Projects have included a variety of battery and control technologies to meet new “smart grids” demands, including dynamic content and fast frequency control capability, fault ride through and triad measures for enhanced grid reliability and stability in compliance with National Grid requirements.

Renewable Connections

Morrison Energy Services are fully accredited by Lloyd’s Register (NERS) to provide the design, construction and delivery of contestable electrical connections up to 132kV to the specification and quality required by the DNO and for private wire networks.

Morrison Energy Services have in-house design engineers who are experienced at transmission and distribution network voltages. Our expertise in the design and delivery of transmission, distribution and contestable electrical infrastructure projects ranges from 11kV through to 132kV on all distribution electricity networks, both regulated and non-regulated, for both DNO adoptable and private wire network projects. We are also able to design and deliver renewable connections works at transmission voltages between 275kV and 400kV that includes transmission substations and associated infrastructure as well as overhead line assets including replacement and refurbishments of steel towers and conductors.

Electrical Vehicle Charging

As an independent EV provider and installer with a national footprint we have the necessary ‘know how’ to look at each application from an independent perspective.

• Assess the grid availability/ requirements for current and future requirements
• Match the charging systems to the vehicles and the frequency of use
• Discuss ergonomics of the proposed scheme
• Select the most appropriate charging hardware for the application
• Consider future proofing
• Provide independent back room services
• Customise software as required with a view to implementation of OCPP 2.1
• Undertake full turnkey installation including connections
• Provide optional O&M services including monitoring of the hardware
• Support the clients with future expansion upgrades

District Heating (DH)

Through our dedicated District Heating office MES designs and co-ordinates installation of industrially sized continually circulating hot water systems to feed a wide variety of customers from industrial to domestic. Systems are typically powered from a variety of sources including old mine workings, rivers, waste heat from sewage, waste to energy plants and other heat centres.

MES has a proven track record in delivering reliable, efficient and quality-assured heating schemes which once completed are supported with a comprehensive digital pack of “as built” documentation.

Once installed operation and maintenance of the system can be supported for the lifetime of the project.
